Art Alive Exhibition 2026 — Business Description

Art Alive is an annual fine art exhibition hosted by Waterkloof House Preparatory School (WHPS) in Pretoria, South Africa. Now in its 39th year, the event has been bringing artists and art lovers together since 1987, making it one of the longest-running school-affiliated art exhibitions in the region.

Held each June at the Waterkloof House Theatre in Brooklyn, Pretoria, the exhibition provides a curated gallery platform for local and regional artists to showcase and sell their work to a broad community audience — from serious collectors to families and first-time buyers.

The 2026 edition runs from 2–6 June, opening with a formal evening preview on Tuesday, 2 June at 18:00. The gallery is then open to the public Wednesday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:00, and Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00.

Beyond its cultural purpose, Art Alive serves as a meaningful annual fundraiser for the school community, reinforcing WHPS’s commitment to arts education and creative excellence.
